• iOS 26.2.1 or later, or iPadOS 26.1 or later

Precision Finding (full directional experience) works with:

• iPhone 11 and later models equipped with a U1 or U2 Ultra Wideband chip
• Devices without a UWB chip can still locate the AirTag, though without precise directional guidance

Basic Find My tracking (Bluetooth-based) works with:

• Any iPhone or iPad supporting the required iOS/iPadOS version
• Apple Watch, for viewing item location within the Find My app

Not fully compatible with:

• Android devices — Android users can scan a found AirTag using NFC to check if it has been marked as lost, but cannot set up, name or fully track an AirTag
• Older iPhones running iOS versions below 26.2.1
